Veterans Outreach Support (VOS) has secured funding from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust to expand the Thrive Together programme (formerly VPPP) across the South East. This initiative connects veterans' support agencies, ensuring seamless pathways, safe spaces for veterans, and training for volunteers and staff working in veterans' mental health. They are now seeking a Families & Carers Outreach Officer to explore the challenges of reaching out to families and carers of veterans to improve the way that this support can be delivered.

VOS is an award-winning charity that offers welfare, wellbeing and mental health support and services to veterans of the UK Armed Forces and Merchant Navy in Portsmouth, Hampshire, and the Isle of Wight. VOS provide a drop-in model of support, a welfare advice service, peer-supported wellbeing activities and social groups, with access to psychology, psychiatry, and therapy services.

The Families & Carers Outreach Officer will collaborate with the Thrive Together Portfolio Manager and VOS team to identify and improve outreach to families and carers of veterans, many of whom may not know they’re entitled to support.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Experience with identifying, planning, running, and evaluating pilot projects, research groups, and focus groups, while managing timelines. 
• Skills in sharing learnings and recommendations based on feedback, creating ways to measure service effectiveness, and gathering feedback for continuous improvement.

The role could be shared and split in two main parts:

Role 1: Club finance and reporting
Includes tasks such as keeping accurate financial records (Excel-based), managing payments and reimbursements, cashflow monitoring, and producing a set of annual accounts. This part averages about an hour per week and includes regular monthly reconciliation.

Role 2: Membership fees and payments
Focused on setting up and managing membership fees via the CRM, allocating payments, handling refunds, chasing unpaid fees through coaches, and managing the hardship fund. There’s some upfront work in May, a busy spell around the start of the season in August/September, and then lighter monthly duties.

Both parts are supported by clear handovers and the flexibility to back each other up – whether you take on one side or both, you won’t be alone.

You don’t need to be a qualified accountant – just someone who is:

• Confident with numbers and basic Excel spreadsheets

As Director of Partnerships, you will lead a team of over 20 passionate fundraisers located across the UK and internationally. This is a role where your leadership will directly impact lives around the world.

We’re looking for a senior leader with proven success in high-value donor engagement, someone who thrives on building cross-cultural partnerships and managing complex, high-stakes fundraising strategies. You’ll bring deep expertise in strategic planning, a strong Christian faith, and a heart for relational fundraising that is as meaningful as it is measurable.

You’ll be responsible for guiding strategy, nurturing key external relationships, and fostering a team culture of excellence, growth, and spiritual depth. This is more than just a fundraising leadership role – it’s a ministry that calls for courage, compassion, and conviction.

New Citizens’ Gateway is seeking a youth representative to join their Board of Trustees, and you could be an amazing part of helping this charity grow. This will be a fantastic opportunity to gain new skills, including learning how charities run and building leadership and networking abilities. No experience required and trustee training will be offered.

New Citizens’ Gateway is a charity in Barnet, London that empowers refugees and asylum seekers to foster a sense of belonging, integrate into the UK and rebuild their lives, through advice and guidance, campaigning, ESOL classes, community classes and groups, counselling, wellbeing services, youth activities and mentoring. 

Board meetings are held four times a year in addition to attending occasional networking, fundraising and ceremonial events and meetings. All reasonable expenses will be covered by the charity. We anticipate a 1-2 hour monthly time commitment.

They provide support for refugees and asylum seekers across London and beyond through a holistic model and multifaceted approach, which acknowledges the whole person and all their physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs. New Citizens’ Gateway (NCG) are actively developing their Board and are now seeking new Trustees, bringing fresh skills and professional backgrounds to help continue their growth. The new trustees will join a collaborative and ambitious team and will be responsible for providing strategic support related to their area of expertise and support overall governance and leadership of the organisation.

We are working in partnership with Anvil Arts, an independent charitable trust, and the largest performing arts organisation in Hampshire. They operate three fantastic cultural venues in Basingstoke, including The Anvil (1,400-seat), which is renowned as one of the top 5 concert halls in country. Within the same building is The Forge – an intimate 95-seat studio theatre, and in the heart of the town centre is The Haymarket, a 400-seat theatre set within a Grade II listed building.

Anvil Arts creates a year-round programme encompassing the best in music, performance, cultural education, arts participation, and outreach work. Since opening in 1994, they have sold over 5,000,000 tickets and brought audiences to Basingstoke from as far afield as Argentina, Iceland, Canada, and Japan. 

They are now seeking to appoint new Trustees. Experienced and committed individuals are sought to join and expand the Board, supporting the implementation of the organisation’s ambitious plans and to make a major contribution to the future success of the organisation.

A successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following:

• Finance: Post-qualification membership of a recognised professional accountancy body (e.g. ACCA or CIMA) or qualified by experience
• Fundraising: Fundraising experience, ideally with exposure to fundraising in the arts and culture sector
• Community Engagement: Experience of serving in a role focused on community engagement, participation, or outreach
• Commercial Arts: Substantial commercial experience at the executive level running either an artistic programme or the commercial aspects of a venue at a similar scale. Ideally someone with broad programme experience

We are seeking strategic and creative individuals, with good communication and interpersonal skills, tact, and diplomacy, who can serve the Board with integrity, fairness, and independent judgement. 4 Board meetings are held annually, which are a mix of in-person and virtual, plus an Away Day and opportunities to support and attend events. Trustees can serve for three years, with the option to remain on for a second term.

We are working in partnership with Richard House Children’s Hospice to secure their new Director of Income Generation.

An exciting opportunity has risen for a driven and experienced fundraiser. The postholder will be responsible for the leadership and development of the fundraising team, fostering a high-performing and motivated environment. Evaluating current fundraising initiatives to ensure an effective balance between long term activities and driving immediate income, analysing income streams to manage performance, growth and ROI and scoping opportunities to capitalise on existing income streams and develop actionable plans to diverse and grow fundraised income will be strong focus of this role. The Director will also take personal responsibility for major donors and cultivating and negotiating high value and/or high-profile fundraising partnerships. 

This role is offered on an interim basis due to a desired quick start date, but with the option to become permanent.

Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate:

• Proven fundraising experience and a sound working knowledge of all main fundraising methods and streams.
• Track record of delivery at strategic and operational business level, and able to translate strategic vision into clear direction for the organisation and line reports.
• A track record of managing teams, both salaried and volunteers, to deliver fundraising targets, and with a proven ability to recruit, train and monitor performance. 
• Experience of budget creation and management.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and persuade; an innovative, ambitious and proactive leadership style, with the ability to inspire others to maximise their potential, will be essential.

We are working in partnership with The French Hospital, who provide Almshouse accommodation primarily for French Protestant Huguenot families who are in need and are resident in Great Britain, allowing residents to live full, dignified and independent lives.  The French Hospital is committed to ensuring that people in need can lead active lives in the local community with access to healthcare, leisure and education. Today there are 55 self-contained flats where residents can enjoy their own space, with their own furniture and belongings around them. 

The CEO (Clerk to the Corporation) will ensure the smooth running of the Charity, enabling it to meet its aims and objectives and comply with relevant law and regulations.  The successful candidate will be the main contact for external agencies such as, solicitors, auditors, bankers and investments managers, insurance brokers and local authorities, as necessary, as well as the main internal contact between the Trustees and the other staff and residents.

This is a significant and rewarding role that will require the post holder to demonstrate the following:

• Positive outcomes in a demanding senior management position, possibly in the third sector, housing, or running a business.
• Experience in managing stakeholder relationships both internally and externally and the capacity to be an ambassador for the charity
• Strategic thinking: ability to assess complex information and decide on a course of action
• Financial literacy and budget management.
• Experience of project management, delegating and supervising as needed
• Excellent verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills

The successful candidate will advise the Trustees on matters of governance to ensure compliance with current legislation and Charity Commission guidance.  You will arrange and attend Trustee Board and subcommittee meetings both preparing the agendas and taking accurate minutes, acting upon the decisions of the Trustees.  You will also be responsible for managing and reviewing the work of a small team, identifying any training needs and ensure their wellbeing.  Awareness of the welfare of residents overseeing community engagement and social activities, dealing with safeguarding issues, grievances and arrears, when required.  Oversee the repair and maintenance of all the Charity’s properties, engaging with commercial tenants and others as necessary.   

This is an ideal opportunity for a senior leader with previous experience of leading a team, managing budgets and projects, multi-tasking and who has a passion for meeting housing needs.
